I'll go first:

The Gift of Fear
Emotional Alchemy
The Primal Blueprint (again)

...and everything I can find on cholesterol, because my SO's parents are going to quiz me on Thanksgiving!

Almost entirely reading non-fiction right now...

Omnivore's Dilemma
Happy Accidents: Serendipity in Modern Medical Breakthroughs (http://www.amazon.com/Happy-Accidents-Serendipity-Medical-Breakthroughs/dp/1559708190) - which I would highly recommend. Most people (myself included) think that modern medicine is the result of exact intentions by scientists, whereas nearly all major breakthroughs have been the result of chance!
Newton and the Counterfeiter - everyone knows about Newton the scientist, but he was also head of the Royal Mint towards the end of his life and this profiles him going after one of the top counterfeiters of the day.

Anybody have any fiction recommendations? Always looking for a great fiction read.

Chadwick -

Per your recommendation, I just started Anthem by Ayn Rand. Also finished two novels in the past couple months:

The Coffee Trader by David Liss, and Inside Outside by Herman Wouk.

I also just picked up What the Dog Saw, Malcom Gladwell's new book; it is actually a compilation of his best essays.

Happy Accidents sounds interesting, chadwick. I'll have to check that one out.

Here are a few of my favorite fiction selections, in no particular order:

She's Come Undone -- Wally Lamb (interesting psychological piece that gets into the mind of an overweight woman)
Songs in Ordinary Time -- Mary McGarry Morris
Memoir of a Geisha -- Arthur Golden
The Honk and Holler Opening Soon -- Billie Letts
Water for Elephants -- Sara Gruen

Guess I'm partial to mainstream, eh? What's your taste in fiction?

Well, if we are getting into favorite fictions... here are mine:

1. Inside Outside by Herman Wouk (mentioned above)
2. Shantaram by David Gregory Roberts
3. Siddartha by Herman Hesse
4. The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo

I'll add more as I remember them. Looking forward to being introduced to some new books!
