I am a serious paleo eater and I don't eat a lot of things that 'primal' eaters eat.

I do follow very similar lifestyle/exercise to primal though.

I have eaten paleo for about 4 years now. These days I'm mostly carnivorous, but I don't get all fanatical about not eating fruit or veg.

Feel free to tell me to leave, or ask me for advice...whatever;)

Nono, you certainly belong. We want "serious paleo eaters" here... in fact, invite all your friends.

We look forward to having you around.

To echo what pkafka said...no one is right or wrong here--we are all looking to learn! Welcome.

Tarlach,

If you stick around you might convert another one of the primal eaters to full on paleo :)

Tarlach,

I hope to learn so much I convert. I just want to be equipped with knowledge. There are so many opinons out there, I feel like the more I know, the better my decisions will become.

Tarlach - I was hoping you could share some of your typical meals... maybe workouts too??? I'd be very interested in learning more about your lifestyle.

Thanks.

A typical day of eating is:
B - black coffee
L - none
D - 2lb of t-bone steak or pork belly or lamb chops, etc

I will eat a snack in the morning after a workout (2-3 times a week) or on the weekend I might have breakfast if I feel like it.
We make a bit of jerky and I eat that around dinner times (or for the previously mentioned morning snacks)

My current workout is
Deadlifts, dips, push-ups and chin-ups - 5 sets over 40 minutes.

Wow, I'm impressed with that post you put up on Mark's Daily Apple. I'll have to brew some black coffee of my own and pore through some of those studies. Meanwhile, I'm alarmed at the simplicity of your diet. Is it really that spartan?

Mostly yeah.

I do eat dinner with my parents once or twice a week and we have broccoli and cauliflower (or salad) with meat. But most of the time it is meat for dinner and jerky for snacks.

I have been eating paleo for 4 years and it has just sort of evolved over time. To me it seems remakably simple and obvious, but I guess you can't just jump from SAD into what I do now ;)

Tarlach,
Glad to found you here as well. I follow your posts on MDA. I read a bunch of other blogs, and tend to lean the way you do: Paleo. I am getting a bit more strict with myself in that regard, and working out with a new intensity at a local Crossfit Gym. Thanks for your contributions.
