View Full Version : Hello!
Hey Everyone,
I saw pk's posting of this forum link in MDA's and like the friendly vibe that I'm picking up here. There seems to be lately so much dissonance over at MDA, which is a shame since there seems to be a bunch of really great people there as well.
Bout me: 28 year-old female in Canada just trying to live healthily. I love to lift and was doing so before I started being Primal. Also love to cook and have been having fun trying out primal recipes. My hope is to one day be able to convert my parents and siblings...it might be a tough journey cause the couple of time I've mentioned to my sister, she protests that she could never give up bread! Good thing I'm persistent...;)
Anyways, glad to find this forum.

Welcome syzc! I just joined too (came over from MDA forum), and i do feel like this group has a nice, friendly vibe.
I used to be like you... trying to convert everyone. But in the end, people will do what they want to do. To each his own. But for me, primal is best!
Hi syzc and fitnessphreak18. I agree with the friendly vibe here too, so nice!
I’m the only one in my house that eats this way so it’s never rubbed off on the others. To be honest it’s discouraging at times but we all connect in other ways so I guess I can’t have it all lol. Plus you never know, it could still happen at some point so I remain hopeful! :)

Hi, szyc! Glad to have you here! I don't hit Mark's Daily Apple with much regularity. I did read his book and found it pretty good for the most part. Personally, I found the book to be a little light on content -- kind of like a pop culture primer on the topic or "Primal Living for Dummies" -- but I suppose his goal was to reach a very broad audience, so in that sense he has probably succeeded better than anyone else to date. Meanwhile, yeah, like the others I'm really digging the vibe on this forum. Let's keep it up!

Good to see you, szyc!
tribecf, that pop-culture-primer vibe is actually why I like PB. I feel like I can hand it to folks who are beginning to figure out that CW is killing us, without overwhelming them.
