What does everyone listen to for music? I believe that music is about as primal as it gets! Improves mood, lightens up the day--good music is key.

I am always trying to explore new music, but right now I would say my top 3:

electronic/techno - tops because its fast-paced, uplifting..preferred artists are armin van buuren, robot science, tiesto, markus schulz, john o' callaghan, among others

classical - like to listen to when i relax, but am not as nuanced quite yet as i hope to be...i listen to the "regular" composers mainly (beethoven, vavaldi, etc)

classic rock - something that i did not used to listen to, but i have come to appreciate more lately

Trance as a majority, but otherwise all sort of everything (except country or rap)

Tiesto is pretty good ;)

I’m a classic rock fan as well but listen to almost everything from that to even some big band (guess my mom rubbed off on me a little bit there). Love Stevie Ray Vaughans blues rock style…Santana and Jethro Tull are a couple other favs along with many others. Mannheim Steamroller for x-mas. Oh and who could forget Bing! Throwing concerts into the mix…Most amazing concert I ever heard was the Moody Blues with a full orchestra, wow. Most amazing concert I ever saw was the grateful dead…the crowd was just as entertaining (maybe more so lol) as the band.

I always love trance/techno. When I workout, I either go no music and just muscle through, or when I need a boost I listen to an awesome podcast called "Trance Around the World (http://www.trancearoundtheworld.com/)".

Otherwise, when relaxing I listen to:
Classical - Philip Glass, et. al
Bossa Nova - Joao Gilberto, Bebel Gilberto, Stan Getz, Charlie Byrd
Jazz - Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, John Coltrane, Miles Davis
Electronic - Moby, Morcheeba, Way Out West, Al-Pha-X
Sitar - Ravi and Anoushka Shankar

Classic rock... I can bear it, and at times even enjoy it. But I never play it.

I'm weird. Never a pop culture fan, I have limited knowledge of pop music. My workout MP3s include everything from Mangione's Bellavia and Copeland's Fanfare for the Common Man to the Mission Impossible theme to the Dixie Chicks to Elvis gospel to MMMBop to 99 Red Balloons and One Tin Soldier and Last Fair Deal Gone Down. If I like it, I play it. :)

I listen to alternative rock. Anberlin and Ten Years are two band that I am into lately.
I also like piano classical and classical instrumental breaks mixed in my rock music.
Oh... and who doesn't like Jack Johnson.

My brother play guitar (acoustic and electric) and piano. I could listen to him for hours, but never developed a talent myself :(
