So I really had every intention of making a post a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, November was a bit chaotic as I found myself at the mercy of NaNoWriMo (http://www.nanowrimo.org/) and an academic deluge of term papers and exams. Oh well, better late than never! :D

Anyways, the semester is almost over and I am thrilled to have my life back. Unfortunately, I fell back into some bad habits during the past few months of stress. Spurned on by the tightening waistbands of my jeans, I went scale shopping this morning and was delivered a brutal blow upon weighing myself for the first time in over three months. Although I had suspected a bit of weight creeping up on me, this was hard evidence of all those sugar-fueled nights spent jacked upon caffeine and Dairy Queen in order to meet deadlines. Coupled with a sad decline in Tabata sessions and a complete abstinence from yoga, I guess I really cannot be too surprised at my new scale's disappointing proclamation.

I forget what my point was in this rambling mess, and I suppose my introductory hello devolved into an impromptu litany of woe. This looks like it is shaping up to be a great forum, and I look forward to intriguing discussions.

Ha ha, I worked at a Dairy Queen all throughout high school. :D Don't ask me how I avoided gaining 3954589724 lbs.

Hey Shine... I am pretty primal, but joined this community to get back on track too! Wish you all the best.

Hey all, thanks for the welcoming. :)

Kristine, I had never even been to a DQ until a few months ago (I recently moved to Texas from Rhode Island). Unfortunately, I made the mistake of getting a giant candy-filled Blizzard one very stressful night. From there, it suddenly became my late-night study crutch. I also don't know how you avoided getting fat while working there; I think that I would get caught with my head under the softserve machine, lol!
